Harley Panhead Shovelhead Evo 21 Ratio Oil Pump Gears for S&S Ultima Jims FX FL

These MADE IN USA oil pump drive gear sets double the oil pump speed on 1973-89 model Big Twins and more than double the speed on 1954-72 They can be used in Panhead, Shovelhead and Evolution engines 1954-89 They can also be used in S&S Jims Ultima TP Delkron Merch and custom build engines using pre 1990 style pinion shafts. OEM Harley Big Twin engines up to and including 1972 used a 25T gear on the oil pump shaft and a 6T gear on the pinion shaft giving a 5:1 ratio. (5 engine revolutions for every 1 oil pump revolution) In 1973 Harley changed the oil pump shaft gear to from 25T to 24T and the pinion shaft gear from 6T to 5T giving a 4:1 ratio. (this changed increased the oil volume approximately 25%) These gears have 22T on the oil pump shaft gear and 11T on the pinion shaft gear giving a 2:1 ratio.
This further increases volume for improved cooling and lubrication and is ESPECIALLY BENEFICIAL WHEN USING HYDRAULIC LIFTERS! They also increase oil scavenging for less internal drag and higher horsepower output.
